Behind

Things in the Hamilton household have been a little crazy lately, and I haven't gotten to update. I missed 2 weeks of Thursday Simple Pleasures, and I haven't uploaded my pics for my 12 on 12 yet. I'll also warn you that my pictures suck- Noah and I went to Gettysburg, but in the midst of getting all our stuff together, I forgot my camera. So, I had to take a lot of pictures of just around the house. i really haven't gotten the hang of this photography stuff yet, but I'm trying and I'm having fun. Oh, and Noah is on the move which means I rarely have time to breathe! not to mention, he was sick last week (and now i'm sick). sooo, i'll try to get back in the swing of things this week.

but i do get to cross some stuff off my 101!

and, here are my simple pleasures for the last 2 weeks:
-cleaning out a closet
-loving the paint colors i picked out
-noah not being sick!
-a date with Joe
-Lauren's back from Tampa :-)
-crisp clean sheets
-new favorite products (i tried lip balm from an Etsy seller and it's amazing!)
-Netflix date nights

Update, and oh crap.

We went for Noah's EKG on Monday morning, and found out yesterday that everything is normal. So, all that stress for nothing! I'm just relieved that he's fine. oh, and he's trying to call for Teller now. he calls him Ta-ta, which could be quite embarassing in public :-P He's had 'cat' mastered for a few weeks now.

for the Oh crap part...I put it on my 101 that I wanted to do 10 on 10 every month. and I didn't realize it was the 11th of the month until I saw Gail's 10 on 10 this morning! So, I already failed one month :-( So, i'm gonna change it for this month and do 12 on 12.

It's Thursday, and you know what that means

Simple Pleasures

This was a difficult week, so it was a little harder for me to come up with simple pleasures this week. Forgive me for a shortened list.

-New episodes of The Office and My Name is Earl
-Joe and Noah
-the abundance in snail mail that I've received this week. I love snail mail.
-knowing that I'm not the only one that locked herself out of her own car this week (thanks Jen!)
-Jen, Lauren, Scot, and Kim. These are the co-workers that I look forward to seeing and that make work worthwhile.
-knowing that i have a great support system of friends and family, so even when I have a whole week of Tuesdays, I still have strength to find pleasures in the week.
-Fresh chocolate chip cookies and a cold glass of milk
-Meeting Jenni and Saxton! They are awesome, and I loved watching Noah play with a baby his own age (they're 3 days apart).

I wish everyone a great week. I hope you found simple pleasures of your own.

9 month update

Noah turned 9 months old on Monday. I can't believe how fast time is going, I feel like he was just born yesterday. He is on the move now too.

We had his check-up today, and he's still growing like a weed. He weighed in at 19lbs 2 oz and measured 30 3/4 inches. The pediatrician was pleased with how social and happy Noah is too. They found a heart murmur and are sending us for follow up tests, but I was told it seems pretty innocent. We went for a chest x-ray today, which was horrible for both of us. They put him on a bicycle seat and strap him into a plastic tube like thing with his arms straight up over his head. I just wanted to hold him, I hate hearing him cry or seeing him in any kind of distress. We have an EKG scheduled for Monday morning and they'll send those results down to Johns Hopkins to be read by the pediatric cardiologist. I'm trying not to worry, but I am me, so I'm not doing so well on that aspect.

In good news, his iron levels were really good and the pediatrician isn't concerned that he's not big on table food right now. he said just keep giving him a good variety of fruits and veggies, and he'll transition when he's ready.

adventures in cloth diapering!

It's been a full week in cloth diapers now, and I'm loving it! We have a variety of prefolds, fitteds, and pockets- alont with two pretty cruddy AIOs. It is quickly becoming an addiction, and I already have a list of diapers I want to get! Joe even enjoys it :-)

We're using this yummy yummy detergent now too, so doing laundry is fun and awesome. Check it out. http://www.crunchyclean.com/ My favorite scent is Country Clothesline. It reminds me of hanging up laundry with my Granny when I was younger. I've had great customer service from her and I love getting crunchy clean mail b/c my whole mailbox smells like heaven!
